Our Course
This course is £10 for half a day's training and practice. You will need to bring your own fully functioning bike as the course is intended to teach you the skills need to fix your own bike, not as a restoration service. Spare parts are provided at additional cost if available.
Who is it for?

This course is aimed at the complete beginner with no prior knowledge of bicycle mechanics. By the end of the day you will know all the most frequently needed servicing tasks are within your grasp.
What will you learn?
Firstly you will learn some basic skills such as how to repair a puncture and how to adjust the saddle, handlebars and other controls that are essential for comfortable and efficient riding. These fundamental aspects of bicycle maintenance are often overlooked, even by experienced riders, and they will greatly improve your experience and appreciation of your bike.
You will also learn about brake servicing. This includes replacing brakes blocks, replacing cables and making final adjustments. Understanding and being able to maintain brakes is vital to staying safe on a bike, it is a particularly useful to know how to fix them yourself if your brakes fail whilst on a ride.
Some more information
On each course there are six places, we like to work with small numbers to ensure an individual experience. The course costs £10 for the tuition. We do not have a large range of stock but will be able to replace small items for example; brake cables, inner tubes and tyres for a small extra charge.
If you are interested or would like any more information about the course don't hesitate to email us.
