ABC gets lottery funding
Our modest maintenance initiative, which has been running for the last two years has just received a huge boost of lottery funding. Based at the Steiner School in Dartington, this community enterprise has just been given £7500 by the National Lottery's Awards For All scheme.
This grant will enable our volunteer instructors to become fully qualified mechanics, ensuring that future courses will be of a much higher standard. It will mean that we can purchase quality tools and equipment, and acquire a stock of common service parts.
Alongside the cycle skills training, which we have provided to the local community over the last five years, we now have a comprehensive range of courses available. Either for leisure or work, many people have the wish to cycle more, but can't find the confidence to do so. With the courses we are providing, the skills and support needed are now at hand.
